Once a relative anomaly, school shootings have sadly become normalized. By the end of May 2018, the U.S. was averaging more than one school shooting a week. And though educational institutions aren’t response organizations in the traditional sense, they’re now on the frontlines.

As such, schools and school districts now carry the heavy burden of keeping students and staff safe from this security threat.
