Airports have never been busier. But luckily, thanks to the professionalism of airport operators, traffic flows smoothly; passengers get processed efficiently; and the planes themselves come and go.
Unfortunately, though, that’s not the end of the story. Any location with mass congregations of people will have to contend with safety and security risk. Baseline airport risks, you can think of security (attacks,) health (ill passengers, food safety, and improper waste handling,) environmental (fire, earthquake, etc.), and physical (runway collisions,) pretty much all get exacerbated by surges in the passenger population.
Since the unexpected happens all too often, operators, tenants, local communities, government agencies, and other key personnel must all be prepared to provide an immediate and coordinated response.
To that end, the AAAE International Airport Emergency Management Conference will focus on events when the unexpected happens or dangerous conditions occur. Other event highlights include:
- Prepared presentations
- Open discussions
- Emergency management case studies
And the best part, Noggin will be there, too. We’ll be on hand for the entire event showcasing our integrated safety and security management platform (new version 2.0 out July 2019), which includes the Noggin Emergency solution pack in addition to the core platform. That’s not all. For airport operators, we’ll also be rolling out our airports and aviation industry pack. Check us out in the exhibitor area (La Salle II Ballroom)!
